organic cotton
Organic cotton is grown using no fertilizers or pesticides, which prevents contamination to local water sources, helps biodiversity, and protects agriculture workers from toxic chemicals. It’s non-GMO, uses less water than conventional cotton farming, and encourages crop rotation for healthier soil.
When present, GOTS or OCS organic cotton certifications tell us that cotton was grown organically and also ensure that workers’ rights were protected throughout the supply chain – from growing the cotton in the field to sewing the garment in a factory.
WHEN YOU SAY “ETHICAL”...
In this case, we mean: Garments are Fair Trade Certified™, meaning workers were paid a fair wage and directly benefitted from community development funds. Factories don’t allow child labor, forced labor, or unsafe working conditions. This brand is a certified B Corporation, which means they measure and publicly report their entire social and environmental impact and meet B Corp’s high standards. These garments are even labeled with a QR code that lets you connect with the exact person who sewed your piece.
