organic cotton
Organic cotton is grown using no fertilizers or pesticides, which prevents contamination to local water sources, helps biodiversity, and protects agriculture workers from toxic chemicals. It’s non-GMO, uses less water than conventional cotton farming, and encourages crop rotation for healthier soil.
When present, GOTS or OCS organic cotton certifications tell us that cotton was grown organically and also ensure that workers’ rights were protected throughout the supply chain – from growing the cotton in the field to sewing the garment in a factory.
WHEN YOU SAY “ETHICAL”...
In this case, we mean: Garment workers in Los Angeles and India were paid a fair wage and worked in clean, safe factories with fair working hours. This brand is also WOC-owned.
